Coming to 19 months

I'll be 19 months old this coming Sunday! It's also Daddy's birthday this Sunday.

Mummy and Daddy took me to polyclinic for my last injection on 22nd June 2009. I finally finished my last compulsory jab. Yippee! Only have mild fever after that.. no sweat! I weighed 9.1kg now, and I'm around 80cm tall. Both are still along the 25th percentile range, only my head size is good at 50th percentile. But doc said that's ok, as long as I'm growing along my 25th percentile growth chart. So no worries. :)

I can say many many words now. The longest is "Bear bear bear 没有了". Somehow, I just love to repeat the bear bear. Some new words that I learnt recently:

• Mummy, Pa Pa, Ah Yi, Ma, Gong gong = gng gng, Nai nai, Gu Gu = ba bu? lol!
• Good night = Gee gite!
• Light Light
• No more!
• 豆花 = Bu wah
• 鸡蛋
• 美美
  
• Bag
• 来了= ai yao (I will say then whenever someone opens the door or when the lift comes)
• "K" (I can recognise only the letter "K", but any other alphabets or words that I see, I will say K too. hehe!)

I can also point to all my body parts when someone asks me.. both in Chinese and English.

• 眼睛，嘴巴，鼻子，头发，耳朵，手，脚，肚子, 牙齿
• Eyes, mouth, nose, ears, hair, head, fingers, hand, leg, toes, belly/tummy, belly button, teeth, tongue

What a whole lot of things that I have learnt!

Ponies!

We went to Pasir Ris Park on 2nd May 2009 to see ponies. But I was more interest in the drains than the ponies. Opps! Luckily I still manage to take some nice photos. Here's me with Daddy and the ponies.

My Passport

I got my own passport now! We'll be going cruise to Redang next month. YIPPEE! Guess which photo I use for my passport? Hehe!

Mummy Mummy Mummy!

We have been real busy this few weeks, so I've not been updating my blog. BUT, I just have to post this. I just learnt how to call MUMMY last weekend! Finally! Mummy is simply overjoyed, after waiting for 18 months for this moment!

Your baby can read!

I've been watching "Your Baby Can Read" vcds for several months now. This set of vcds is supposed to teach babies like me to read. And I've been surprising Mummy and Daddy recently with the number of "words" I can recognize!

For a start, since several months ago, whenever I see the word "nose", "mouth" and/or "toes", I will show the "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" hand-sign. Because that's the song that will be played after these words. The same goes for the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" song after that. Hehe!

Then last weekend, I did the most amazing thing! Mummy was feeding me, back facing the tv. Then I said the word "BA-BEE" (baby) just before the tv said baby. (Usually, the vcd will show the word first, then pronounced it). Mummy and Daddy were amazed! So to test it out, Daddy play back that scene.... then, guess what happened? I said "BABY" even before the word came out! Hahahaha! In fact, I have superb memory! I can memorize the scenes in the vcd and the words that appear after those scenes. Hahahaha!

Besides "baby", I can recognize "clap" and "toes" too. I will clap my hands when the tv shows "clap" even before the sound come. Same for "toes", I will lift my foot up to show my toes when I see the word.

In fact, I can memorize many many other stuff! Like what song goes next in my other vcds or cds. I will do some actions or say some words related to the next song, just before it plays. Like there's a song about cars, I will say "CAR" as soon as the previous song finishes. Amazing memory right? ;)

p/s: Actually, I do recognize 1 or 2 words, but only under certain circumstances. I'll elaborate in my next post!
